Please note SEDA will be running an 8-month mentorship and coaching program for 20 women owned enterprises. The program is scheduled to start next month. The program will run 6 sessions, specialist (s) / guest speakers will offer their expertise, allowing small business enterprises to gain knowledge, exchange experience, network with each other and will be given an opportunity to implement what they have learned. They have sent an invite to LED Department to identify entities that meet the below criteria.
The goal of this coaching program is to assemble groups of small enterprises and expose them on the coaching (supervision) of an experienced mentor / coach with the expressed intent of:
- Increased Turnover.
- Retained/Increased Jobs;
- Improved Efficiency and Effectiveness; and
- Improved Compliance with Statutory Bodies.
Here is the criteria for the preferred candidate for the program:
- Applicant must be a small enterprise or a manager of the small enterprise who is directly involved with day to day running of the business;
- The owner or the manager of the business should be a woman;
- The applicant should not be a subsidiary of another company;
- The turnover of a business should be between R500 000 to R1 000 000;
- The sectors serviced should be within Manufacturing, Agro-processing, ICT, Tourism, Fund Managers, Assets Consultants, Law Firms, Statutory Services Providers, Accounting Firms, Media & Production Services; but also not restricted to these sectors.
- Actively participate in compulsory monthly workgroup meetings and share experiences with the group; and
- Maintain confidentiality with regards to business and related information of other participants.
